Bad Debt Maze

Looking after the real victims of poor debt management

Debtors are frequently characterised as ‘poor’, and victims of greedy, uncaring, big businesses that are providing credit irresponsibly. Yet this is not always, or even often, the case. The media ignore the large numbers of less well-off people who, nevertheless, pay their debts.

It’s our opinion that these honest bill-payers are effectively subsidising others, who may well be better off than they are, who simply avoid paying what they owe.

Ian Campbell

Ian is a utilities industry consultant at Fujitsu Services. He has worked extensively at board level within the energy industry undertaking a wide range of roles including strategy development and business change management. Ian is a co-author of Fujitsu’s book on customer relationship management ‘The Relationship-Based Enterprise’.
