Three Fallacies of Shared Services

Shared services are one of the three central tenets of the UK government’s ‘transformational government agenda’, along with ‘Citizen-centricity’ and ‘Professionalisation of the Civil Service’. Transformational government is aimed at delivering a modern, efficient set of public services that meet citizens’ requirements now and are flexible enough to deliver in the future as and when these requirements change.
