Bridging the corporate - consumer IT gulf

Many hardware, software and service innovations are appearing in consumer products long before they make their way into corporate IT systems. Sometimes, indeed, users complain that they are reverting to old technologies whenever they log on in the office. A new, connected economy is already thriving in the personal technology arena. It's our opinion that this consumer revolution will provoke a radical rethink of how we build and manage the business IT infrastructure.

Roger Camrass

Roger is the director of the Business Transformation Group at Fujitsu Services. He is the co-author of 'Atomic: reforming the business landscape into the new structures of tomorrow'. Based in London, Roger spends his days in a relentless quest to drag the IT sector and its long-suffering customers into the twenty first century.

Marc Silvester

Marc Silvester is chief technology officer of Fujitsu's services organisation. Marc leads a global services programme. Previously, he initiated and managed a number of global alliances for Fujitsu and expanded the company's network of global partners. Marc joined Fujitsu in 1986 as a software engineer and has worked on a wide variety of business transformation projects across the company. He is a graduate of Staffordshire University with an honours degree in pure and applied computer science.
