We are looking for Security specialist to join our Belfast based team.

The Systems Security Team within Technical Support provides support services to a number of major public and private sector clients across Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK. These services include design, development, implementation and support of security solution across a wide range of technologies. The role is largely office based and the successful applicant will be expected to deliver operational managed services.

Job Purpose:

The role requires a self-motivated person, with strong inter-personal skills, who is able to communicate effectively with people at all levels.

The role may require the day-to-day mentoring of junior members of staff and the ability to lead a team during project implementation. The role may, on occasion, require the person to work outside of their own skill set by being able to accurately follow specific technical instruction from colleagues or documentation/plans.


Skills - Mandatory:

* MS Windows 2000/2003 Server or UNIX

* Firewall technologies incl. Checkpoint, Cyberguard, Cisco PIX

* Anti Virus technologies

* Experience in a managed service support environment

* Networking Protocols incl. TCP/IP

* Excellent written/verbal communication skills



Skills - Useful:

* Proxy technologies incl. BlueCoat, eTrust SCM

* Web filtering technologies incl. SurfControl, Websense, eTrust SCM

* Intrusion Detection technologies

* Experience with audit event collection and reporting toolsets

* Network Security incl. VPN, Encryption & Access Controls

* Incident/Problem/Change Management

* 27001 Framework

* Service Delivery within ITIL Framework
