BCS @ 50 – Conference on British Contribution to Computing - please book early.

The Computer Conservation section of the British Computer Society is organising a 3 day conference in July.

In this 50th year of the British Computer Society, the Computer Conservation Society is organising a three day conference to celebrate the British contribution to the development of modern computing.

July 12th at Bletchley Park – including John Harper (of ICL) on the Bombe rebuild, and with a demonstration of this code breaking machine. BTM manufactured these systems. Also a demonstration of Colossus.

July 13th and 14th at London – with several ICL people speaking.

ICL pensioners are welcome to attend - you can book (and pay) online on the BSC website. You do not need to be a member of the BCS. You can attend either the Bletchley or the London sessions, or both.
