Website News - Monthly Update
17 December 2008
Monthly update about content changes, site usage, and other information.
We publish a monthly update around the time the pensioner payslips are sent out.
Information and Content added to the website in the last month:
- An Email about market conditions was sent out to pensioners who have registered in the members area. This was the first time we have used this route to get information to pensioners, and generated some positive feedback - as well as a surge in usage of this website. The usage of the site overall and of the members area doubled this month, as measured by the pageview statistics. Also this seems to have prompted a number of pensioners to update their details - as well as to send requests about forgotten passwords.
- A comment about how changes in the inflation rate affect ICL pensioners has been published in the members area. Note the RPI rate just published for November was 3.0% - and the prediction for December looks lower. The December rate is that on which ICL pensions inceases are based.
- Many pensioners will have worked on VME systems - see previous news item for a note about the VME business that continues today.
- Seasonal greetings and best wishes for the New Year to all ICL pensioners - from our sponsors - the Fujitsu Pensions Department.
- The page in the members area listing deaths has been updated to show deaths reported in the last month (4). Note that page also has a link to a retrospective list which brings together previously published information on deaths of ICL people from 1995 onwards.
Members - 3899 are now registered.
