Website News - Monthly Update
17 November 2011
Monthly update about content changes, site usage, and other information.
We publish a monthly update around the time the pensioner payslips are sent out.
Information and Content added to the website in the last month:
- Selection arrangements are in progress for two Member Nominated Directors (Trustees) of the ICL Group Pension Plan. Candidates are being interviewed. Look out for an announcement about the results on this website later.
- New arrangements for publishing and distributing the `Bits and Bytes' newsletter are progressing. The changes were explained in the Autumn issue , and people who were sent paper copies also got a form asking if they needed a paper copy in future.
It seems that most readers will access online, but there is a small mumber of pensioners who are not able to do that. 75 people have requested paper copies, and the editor (Adrian Turner) is looking for help for doing and arranging that. It will involve getting subscriptions (about £3 per annum for 2 issues) and organising printing and mailing, or alternatively a benefactor might fund the lot (to overcome the administration involved). It is expected to use a commercial printing company, and the new arrangements need to be set up for the Spring issue by end March 2012. Do contact Adrian if you could take on this job or help to fund - you can use the contact facility on this website to contact the Bits & Bytes editor.
- The page in the members area about deaths has been updated. See ICL Pension Plan - Monthly Report on Deaths. The report is a PDF document.
In the last month 5 deaths have been reported.
