About the Pensioner Topics pages

The Pensioner Topics pages contain information provided by Pensioners and edited by pensioners.

The pages aim:

  • To help pensioners keep in touch, and network with each other – specifically by publishing reunion information, and by news items.
  • To provide information specifically relevant to ICL Group pensioners and former ICL staff – specifically about sharing experience and skills in the pensioner community.

The Pensioner Topics pages are edited and moderated by pensioners – and all material is reviewed before publication. The site is sponsored by the Fujitsu UK Pensions Department, for the benefit of pensioners in the ICL Group pension scheme, and the editors brief is to ensure that published material is not harmful to the sponsor in any way. See Terms of Use for more information.

Material that is available elsewhere on the web will not usually be published here, but links may be given. As usual on the Internet, the content of pages referred to in links is not our responsibility – see Terms of use/Disclaimer.

Facilities for discussion groups or bulletin boards are not provided on this site; if requested we may publish links to such sites where they are of specific relevance to our target audience.

The Editorial Team

There is an overall editorial board for ICL Pensioner communications, which comprises:

Simon Wardrobe (Fujitsu Services Pensions Department) – Chair and Pensions Content Editor
Alan Thomson (pensioner) – Pensioner Topics website Editor
Adrian Turner (pensioner) – ‘Bits and Bytes’ newsletter Editor

Fujitsu Services provide systems and technical support for content management/publishing to the editorial team.

We welcome involvement of more people from the pensioner community, particularly as contributors or coordinators for particular topic areas.

We do want the site to be live and to have material of interest and use to people who worked for ICL. The target audience includes ICL Group pensioners (both retired and deferred) and former staff that they may have worked with in ICL. We aim to have material of interest to people who worked in all areas of the ICL business – systems, software, hardware, services etc.

Contributions are welcome, just contact one of the the Editorial team using Contact.

It is easy to send in proposed material, and to help there are some Notes for Contributors.
