About the Members Area and Registering

Purpose and Scope of the Members Area

To facilitate Communication - web pages with information specifically for Pension Plan members.

To facilitate Contacts electronically

• between the Pensions Dept and members
• between members, according to preferences set by each individual

Who can register

• People who are receiving a pension from the ICL Group Pension Plan (including surviving dependents)
• Deferred pensioners of the ICL Group Pension Plan.

Applications to register will be checked out against the Pensions Department records, before approval is given.

Benefits of registering as a member

You can access and browse more information about the ICL Group Pension Plan.

You can contact and network with other registered members.

The Members Directory

Information that you supply when registering will be held in a 'Members Directory', and access to that is limited to authorised Pensions Department staff for the purposes of Pensions Administration and Pensioner Support, and to other registered members using enquiry facilities which operate to preferences that you specify.

Note that individual pension details are held separately by the Pensions Department, and are not held in the Members Directory for this website.

Protecting your Personal Information - Now

A limited set of personal data is held on the Members Directory - only what is appropriate for contact purposes.

You select how much of your details is visible to other registered members (none is an option).

Your Email address is not visible to other members in the directory - message relaying is used.

Protecting your Personal Information – In the Future

If further facilities are added, it is recognised that the following will apply:

• registered members will need to be given a choice whether to use the new facilities or not
• good practice must be followed on the security of any additional personal information that is used.
